ABOUT

I have been in Tucson for the last five years working on my Bachelors of Architecture at the College of Architecture, Planning, and Landscape Architecture at the University of Arizona. The School of Architecture here in Tucson has encouraged me to study and to design projects focusing on environmental and cultural conditions of place. The process is inspired by a strong passion for place and its people.

WHAT I DO

Intelligent response to time and place - this has been an ultimate goal of mine throughout my education thus far. It is the basic truths that stand the strongest. Architecture is many things, but to me, architecture is not just the building, but also the place, the space, the living of the people within it. It is not just about the art of the building, but also about the experience of the person. The space is shaped by the person and by the human body. And the building is shaped by its place – its location, culture, and life. Architecture responds. It is a response to climate, culture, finances, design, art, transportation, living, materials, limitations, and expectations. Architecture has its place within the city and within the growth of the urban fabric. I am inspired by architecture that is design for both the people and the place, not just for the art of the architecture. Architecture should be both thoughtful and responsive to the city. It has the power to turn urban spaces in special places.
